As a fast-moving retail brand, LIDS depends on consistency, clarity, and strong visual merchandising across all its store locations. However, with varying store layouts and outdated lighting systems, they were struggling to deliver a unified in-store experience. Product zones lacked emphasis, impulse-buy areas didn’t stand out, and store teams had minimal flexibility in spotlighting seasonal or custom collections.

LIDS needed a solution that could scale across diverse retail formats, elevate product presentation, and improve energy performance, all without disrupting the shopping experience.

IKIO'S PROBLEM-SOLVING APPROACH

IKIO’s team collaborated with LIDS' visual merchandising and operations teams to design a pre-configured, brand-consistent lighting layout. The solution used a hybrid lighting strategy — combining general ambient lighting with product-focused downlighting to improve display impact. 

The overall design emphasized performance, flexibility, and visual enhancement — while staying within rollout timelines across stores.

SOLUTIONS DELIVERED

  • Delphi Series Troffers were used to create clean, even general lighting across the sales floor.
  • Orwin 6” Downlights were installed in key zones: branded displays, wall graphics, impulse sections, and personalization counters.
  • The fixture layout was customized to match store footprints — yet standardized enough to simplify nationwide rollout.

This solution resulted in a crisper, more engaging store environment — driving visual impact without structural changes.
